What I Wore Wednesday: Sunsets and Sherbert

Right now, I’m really into bright, warm colours, flowy dresses and tons of chunky jewelry for summer. I always feel most like myself when I’m wearing something comfortable and bohemian-inspired.

Today’s ensemble feels super light, airy and easy, which is something I’m always trying to achieve during the summer months. When it comes to clothes, I’m not one to focus on little details — I’m all about the bigger picture, and I truly believe that imperfections are what make an outfit personal.

For example, the jagged, destroyed hem of this Free People dress infuses it with such an authentic, interesting look. I love the way the sides swing freely while the middle of the hem is short and sweet.

The braided straps, intricate embroidery and warm, orangey-pink-red colour of the frock are also so appealing to me. The colour reminds me of a lovely sunset or a sweet scoop of orange sherbert ice cream — two essential summer staples!

I accessorized the outfit with some mismatched, chunky jewels like my favourite Free People chain and my gold sandals.

I feel super free and comfortable in this outfit. What do you feel most yourself in?! Let me know in the comments!
